The National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE), an autonomous institution under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India, in collaboration with the Uttar Pradesh State Nodal Agency is organizing “Suryamitra” Skill development programmes (SSDP) in Uttar Pradesh.
‘Suryamitra’ Programme is being undertaken in view of huge demand for trained persons to install, operate & maintain the Solar Photovoltaic Power Plants and Systems. The programme is being organized with the sponsorship of the National Institute of Solar Energy. The Deepak Power Service and Solutions is one of the Centres in Uttar Pradesh where this programme is being run. Participants will be given training through classroom lectures and hands on training in the Deepak Power Service and Solutions.
Details of the programme:
The program is aimed to enhance the skills of the field technicians and small entrepreneurs who are responsible for operation & maintenance and trouble shooting. The qualification of the participants is ITI in trades of Electrician, Wireman, Electronics, or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics. Special emphasis is given to the unemployed youth who come from rural backgrounds and female candidates. The duration of the course is 3 months and each batch will comprise of 30 students
This is a free residential program sponsored by Ministry of New & Renewable Energy, Govt. of India, where both lodging and boarding are free. The duration of this residential skill development program is 600 hrs (approx 90 days). At the end of the course, proper assessment shall be made and Govt of India certificates shall be issued to successful candidates. Also, it is expected that after successful completion of the programme, including training in installation, operation and maintenance of the Solar Photovoltaic Power Plants and Systems, the students will have a strong opportunity for employment in Renewable Energy Sector.
